Orange ash box

This  box is made from two different pieces of ash. The bottom had quite straight grain, and was a bit bland in colour. The top is from a tree that had heavy curling and quilting in addition to a figure called olive ash (similar to brown oak, where the tree has a fungus growing on the outside and reacts with discoloration on the inside). In order to hold the piece together, black bands were added.
