Pen canister

This box is made from sycamore, with some guilt varnish on the rounded corners and blue stain on the main body. The wood is spalted, which did give me quite some grief when trying to get a nice finish on the top and bottom, only once it was saturated with sanding sealer would it sand nicely.

This canister would look nice on a desk, easily holding 2-3 dozen pencils or other writing equipment.
